A dog who was abandoned and left outside in the snow quickly learned that there is more love left in the world after being greeted with kisses in his foster home.
Ashley and her son found a dog outside in the snow in Ohio in January 2023. The canine was hurt and bleeding, she told Newsweek via TikTok. Ashley, who doesn’t wish to reveal her surname, learned later that the dog’s previous owner intentionally kicked him out just before a snowstorm rolled through. Heartbroken, Ashley knew she couldn’t leave him, especially since she is no stranger to rescuing dogs.
The pup, who was named Dollar at the time, was taken to the vet after being found and, for a few weeks, he slept soundly in Ashley’s house next to her on a blowup mattress. There was no shortage in the love he received. Two of Ashley’s dogs, Mia and Rocco, instantly welcomed him with kisses and more kisses; this is seen in the May 11 TikTok video posted to the account @must.love.dogs_. The caption reads: “I am truly blessed. I will never stop rescuing.”

Dollar was lying on the floor when Mia and Rocco gently came over sniffing. Within seconds, those sniffs turned into kisses. Dollar basked in the love. It was at that moment he knew there was kindness left in the world.
Ashley’s canine welcome crew is no stranger to other dogs coming into their home.
“My dogs are used to me bringing in dogs that need help,” she said. “We’ve had as many as five or six in my home at a time.”
And while her pets loved this rescue dog, Ashley connected Dollar to his forever home after he had a lot of adoption interest.
Ashley’s friend, who has always supported her work with donations and spreading the word, saw this story and ultimately said she wanted to keep Dollar for herself. The friend drove four hours from Michigan to pick him up. Now, he is living his best life and has been since renamed Whiskey.
The precious interaction between the rescue and Ashley’s dogs touched people’s hearts. As of Monday, the TikTok video had received more than 765,000 views, nearly 150,000 likes, and 755 comments.
“They way they kissed and greeted her. ‘Don’t worry you’re safe here mom will take care of us,'” posted one viewer.
Another added: “The way she turns back for a quick little kiss when you called Mia.”
A third person commented: “They have to know the doggo needs love right?” That and well, they’re excited about having a new friend in the house.
