Amom-to-be has sent a clear message to the children who played with her dog so much that she was barely able to move. The message? Thank you.
A couple expecting their first child in July recently threw a baby shower to celebrate the upcoming addition to the family, and it led to a very quiet house for days afterward as their hyperactive dog was totally wiped out.
“They played with her, she chased them, and when a few got tired, there were another few still playing, so she was at it for eight hours. Other times, it’s taken her one day to recover, but this time she needed four,” expectant mother Beatriz Torres told Newsweek. “Which was a nice break for us, not gonna lie.”
Taking to TikTok on her @berrizfam account, Torres, 41, who lives in Miami, had shared a video of her large Australian shepherd cross, Indie, lying almost comatose on the sofa. Over the clip, she wrote: “To the kids that came yesterday to our Baby Shower. And ran after Indie for hours.
“To the kids that didn’t give her a minute to catch her breath. To the kids who made her play with her for 8h. And left a hyperactive dog completely lethargic. To the kids who left my dog not willing to move today… Thank You! Please come back soon!”
In the video, which has been viewed over 2.7 million times since being uploaded on April 30, Indie doesn’t move an inch; even when her owner lifts up her paw, she just allows it to flop down, her eyes barely open.
Torres, a creative director, captioned the clip: “It takes a village to get her this tired!”Torres said she rescued 3-year-old Indie when she was 8 months old, after her husband said he would like to have a “big dog”.
